It is the top choice by consumers who are looking for style, technology and practicality.

  • More expensive as compared to other cars in the same category

How does it fare?

The new model is now offering the Apple Car Play, along with wireless phone charging.  It has dropped the 4-cylinder LTZ, leaving the version 6 engine as the only choice for the topnotch model. It also has sueded cloth upholstery, which used to be optional in the old model. According to critics and reviewers, Chevrolet did a great job when it comes to designing this model with a roomier interior, giving more space for the passengers. The new model can relocate a small village with its large trunk, while not leaving behind the element of a smooth ride.

And on the side of technology, the big car does not only have a roomy interior, but also excellent technology versus the previous version. Although the new model is standard on all, it proves perfect for its 8-inch My Link touchscreen infotainment system that comes with an intuitive interface and innovative graphics. So when it comes to technological advancements, shoppers can expect a more refined big car that performs well in the luxury category.

The Impala also has updated driver aids, such as the blind sport monitoring system, forward collision alert and lane-departure warning.  The LTZ offers an adaptive cruise control that has an automatic braking system, along with other highlights included, such as V6 power and excellent crash-test scores.

The trim levels available are 1LT, LS, 2LTZ and 2LT.  The entry level LS has standard features, such as 18-inch steel wheels, remote keyless entry, headlights, air conditioning, cruise control and adjustable driver seat. Aside from these, the LS also has a trip computer, On Star that comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot and 4G connection, six-speaker sound system that has a CD player and Bluetooth phone connectivity.  Aside from these features, the new model also has a USB port, 4.2-inch color display and auxiliary audio jack. The maker also includes standalone options, such as an engine block heater, larger wheels and floor mats. When it comes to appearance, the optional Midnight Appearance package of Chevrolet Impala has a refined look that gives it an astonishing look on the street.

All the 2016 Impalas have 6-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive. For safety, the 2016 model has traction and stability control and antilock brakes, as well as front-seat side airbags, front knee airbags and full-length side curtain airbags.

Overall, the Chevrolet Impala is a performer with its excellent road performance, top rating crash tests, and pleasing interior, along with comfort and safety features. There is a large interior offering passengers a stretch out space and legroom.  It demonstrates simple handling limits that do not somehow works well with the sleek styling of the car. But nevertheless, the new Impala still gives a secure feel even on long, winding roads.
